Frankfort, IN — February 20, 2012 — In his ongoing communications about this week's upcoming City of Frankfort-Clinton County Leadership Summit, Mayor Chris McBarnes expressed his gratitude to the Clinton County Community Foundation for funding the event.
"Thanks to generous funding of $1,700 provided by the Clinton County Community Foundation, we will be able to learn from the expertise of our Summit facilitator, provide refreshments from Flavors Coffee House & Deli and writing supplies for Summit attendees. I am very grateful to the Foundation for its dedication to the betterment of our community and specifically, for the role it is playing in ensuring our Summit is successful,” McBarnes said.
As has been previous announced, the February 23 invitation-only event is community leader-focused, designed to bring City and County leaders together to heighten heir knowledge, insights and skills around the need to communicate consistently and effectively.
To help engage interested community members, McBarnes has arranged for the event to be streamed live on the Web at: http://www.clintoncountyleadership.com/ beginning at 5:00 p.m. this Thursday (Feb. 23). Viewers should allow for a 30-second commercial, prior to clicking on the image to view the streamed event.
The media is invited to cover the event and the Mayor will issue an event recap in the days following Thursday's 5:00 — 8:00 p.m. gathering at the Frankfort Community Schools Administration Building.
Butler University Instructor in Organizational Communication and Leadership Paul Sandin will facilitate the Summit, guiding the group through a presentation on communication, leadership, ethics in leadership and decision-making. An agenda was shared in a previous news release and sent to each invited community leader.
